When Scott was just 13 years old he had recorded an album with his father, brother and sister. While he was still 13, he and his family members appeared in concert along with such greats as Johnny Hartford, Vassar Clements, Earl Scruggs, Grandpa Jones and Minnie Pearl. Scott and his family have also performed in concert for the council for the performing arts in Ticonderoga, NY, and appeared at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph, VT on a couple of occasions. Scott was also fortunate to have rubbed elbows with the late Graham Townsend, one of Canada's Master Fiddle Stars. Much of Scott's fiddling influence stems from Graham Townsend, Don Messer, Al Cherney, Paul Menard, and more recently, Calvin Vollrath. Scott has prevailed in countless fiddling competitions from the age 12 to present. He is currently the president of the North American Fiddle Judges Association.
