Violin #4, name "Glover"
was completed in Jan of 2003. It has a very sweet,
well balanced sound. It is constructed on a Guarneri pattern with
willow for
the blocks, 35 year old Canadian Maple on the back, and 35 year
old European Spruce top of medium/wide grain in the center and narrow
grain going out to the edges. It is set up with a French Despiau
Bridge, and Rosewood accessories add a nice touch to go with the
red highlights in the varnish. It is entirely handmade by violin
maker Marc Gregoire.
